Our Story

Asertus was founded by Chris and Joey, two experienced DevOps Engineers who have sat on both sides of the interview table. After conducting countless technical interviews, they grew frustrated with the increasing prevalence of interview fraud and the difficulty of accurately assessing candidate skills in a remote-first world.

They realized that existing solutions were either too intrusive or easily bypassed. They wanted to create a tool that respected candidate privacy while providing employers with the confidence that the person they are interviewing is the person they are hiring.

Driven by the pain of bad hires and wasted interview cycles, they built Asertus to bring trust and transparency back to technical recruiting.
